About Me

I started playing the piano as a child, gaining grade 8 and studying music to A-Level. During my teenage years I studied piano in the Junior Department of Trinity Laban in London, alongside the clarinet and saxophone.

After leaving school I stopped playing for many years, while focussed on my career and family, before returning to playing as a mature student. I have since obtained a distinction in my ATCL piano performance diploma. Having returned to lessons myself as an adult gives me a particular personal understanding of the personal and practical challenges faced by adults returning to playing.

I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS check.

I have public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance.

I am a member of the Curious Piano Teachers, giving me access to a wide and varied range of resources to support and continually develop my teaching.
