Ultimately playing the piano should give you a sense of enjoyment and satisfaction and my focus is on supporting you to achieve this, taking on board your own personal likes and dislikes.
Whether you want to study for exams, develop performance skills or simply to play at home purely for pleasure, my goal will be to support you in this.
Lessons
Lessons are fun, enjoyable and learner centred, allowing you to develop your skills in a friendly, comfortable environment.
For beginners I use appropriate tutor books alongside additional resources to support the development of music theory and ear training to equip you with a rounded set of musical skills.
The aim is to build a solid basis on which you can develop your playing.
My Approach
My approach to teaching is warm and sympathetic, with plenty of enthusiasm! In particular, I have first hand understanding of the challenges faced by adults returning to study the piano and understand just how overwhelming this can feel and will do my best to put you at ease in your lessons
